Bilo is a mobile learning app that helps Italian high school students master Economia Aziendale — business and accounting — in a simple, engaging way. Designed for students attending istituti tecnici economici across all five years of study, Bilo turns a subject often taught through dense textbooks and static blackboard exercises into an interactive experience that fits in a pocket.
The app guides each student along a personalised study path inspired by the best language-learning apps: a vertical sequence of topics, short animated videos hosted by Bilo the fox, theory articles written in plain Italian, and hundreds of accounting exercises with line-by-line correction. Students practice double-entry bookkeeping on a free digital board, draw adjusting entries by hand on a whiteboard, and test themselves with end-of-topic quizzes that track progress and build a daily streak.
Bilo supports the main curriculum tracks — Comune, AFM (Amministrazione, Finanza e Marketing), SIA (Sistemi Informativi Aziendali) and RIM (Relazioni Internazionali e Marketing) — so every student follows the path that matches their programme. A built-in AI tutor, called Correzione immediata, gives guided pedagogical feedback on journal entries without simply handing over the answer.
